Meet the Cast: A Christmas Carol, A Rock & Roll Panto, Part 2
Marcus Wilson (Subscription Dude)
Marcus is a seventh semester student at Sac City College, currently working on building transfer credits while also working on a Mechanical Engineering degree. This is his fifth show at SCC, seen previously as Jason in SWEAT, Panto Horse in MOTHER GOOSE: A BRITISH PANTO, a Stone in EURYDICE, and Kastril in THE ALCHEMIST. He has also dabbled in some directing work, directing FRACTURED FAIRY TALES for Dream Theater, Sac County. When not working on the stage, he continues acting for ESCAPE SACRAMENTO as a game operator. He hopes to continue doing shows and hopefully begin doing voice acting work.
Kathleen Poe (Ebenezer Scrooge)
Kathleen is a Music professor at Sacramento City College but can’t stop doing theater. Recent roles include Decius Brutus in JULIUS CAESAR (Sacramento Shakespeare Festival), Leonato in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Big Idea Theater), Penelope in THE PENELOPIAD (Women’s Theater Collective), Father in EURYDICE (City Theater), and portraying a singing, dancing fish in MOBY DICK, the British Panto (Splinter Group). Some previous favorite roles include Macduff in last summer’s production of MACBETH (Sacramento Shakespeare Festival), The Narrator in WOLVES (Big Idea Theater), Judy Boone in THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME (City Theater), and Polonius in HAMLET (both at CSUS and Sac Shakes). Kathleen is a proud original company member of Wildflower Women’s Ensemble, an all-female Shakespeare ensemble.
Nicholas Friedrich (Fezziwig, Undertaker)
Nicholas was last seen as one of the witches in Shakespeare’s MACBETH and has previously performed as Gregory in ROMEO & JULIET and Oliver in ANOTHER AS YOU LIKE IT REUNION for the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival. He is also an avid performer of choral music and has recently performed in Carl Orff’s CARMINA BURANA with the Sacramento Choral Society. Nicholas credits his older sister as his inspiration for pursuing community theater and choir, as she has performed in several plays, musicals across the greater Sacramento area and always encourages him to audition.
